PM GatiShakti National Master Plan

PM GatiShakti National Master Plan क्या है?

The PM GatiShakti National Master Plan is a multi-modal connectivity platform launched in October 2021. It is a digital platform that brings together 16 ministries, including Railways and Roadways, to enable integrated planning and coordinated implementation of infrastructure connectivity projects. Its aim is to break departmental silos and ensure holistic planning for infrastructure projects.

ऐतिहासिक पृष्ठभूमि

India's infrastructure development has historically suffered from a lack of coordination among different ministries and departments, leading to project delays, cost overruns, and sub-optimal asset utilization. The need for a unified approach to planning and execution of infrastructure projects, especially after the National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP), led to the conceptualization and launch of PM GatiShakti.
